Hello fellow Cinderellas!

Cinderella?? well because you decided to read this, it means that you're ready to toss away your dream on being a Cinderella with a fair skin, because the real Cinderella is actually lies within you!

First all all let me shout out my huge gratitude to KOSÉ because they sent me this giant and lovely box containing KOSÉ SEKKISEI trial kit and an overflowing numbers of pink and white balloons! I was swooning over the beautiful and kawaii presented surprise the moment I opened it! Thank you so much KOSÉ for being so romantic, if only I have a boyfriend this romantic wtf hahaha! #foreveralonesobss *slap self////*

Aside, I've uploaded an unboxing video on both my Instagram and FB, bet you guys already seen that so I don't think I'll put it here again (plus the video was filmed unplanned and unready so it seems kinda pathetic lel) anyway this is how it looks like inside :

Oh goshhh hold me breathh! *swoon~~*

Isn't this toooo lovely to comprehend? *swoon again~~*

The trial kit that was sent out to us bloggers comes in 2 designs, Kimono Setsuko and City Chick Setsuko. Yeah I know, who the hell is Setsuko rite? Setsuko is actually a cartoon icon owned by this brand, a fun loving and bubbly character which is loved by Japanese SEKKISEI fans. Her name means "Little Snow" in Japanese and this is what the brand's pointing up, to bring a snow-white skin to women all around!

As you can see I got the Kimono Setsuko and I'm so darn love it! She's so cute isn't she! Plus I love Kimono and Sakura because it's a mirror of a pure Japanese culture, so KOSÉ made a right decision of sending me the trial kit in this design, it's literally win me all over!

1. Kimono Setsuko Trial Kit

2. City Chick Setsuko Trial Kit

It's been for over 30 years that KOSÉ SEKKISEI bestowing translucency to women's skin. To be well established in such long period and still held strong up to this point, there's no way that KOSÉ SEKKISEI's effectiveness is a joke. The strongest commitment of this brand is to give a bright, translucent and glowing skin. This brand harness the power of Oriental Herb extracts, which are carefully-selected from about 100 different plants, a trio of oriental plants included Coix Seed, Melothria (White Lotus) and Angelica creates a harmonious and skin-loving formula that gives women brighter, even-toned and moisturized skin.

This year KOSÉ SEKKISEI's paying off your love by releasing a trial set (which is a steal for only RM99 - of course GST included!) that consists of their top raved about star products which includes the following :

  • Exclusive Setsuko pouch (Kimono | City Chic)
  • Sekkisei White Liquid Wash (20ml)
  • Sekkisei Lotion (100ml)
  • Sekkisei Emulsion (70ml)
  • Sekkisei Clear Whitening Mask (10ml)
  • Included with 3pcs of Bihadagoyomi Mask

Exactly like this

I spent the whole night owl-ing just to make this cute and slacker-friendly "How To" pictorial on SEKKISEI products that came in the trial kit for a quick brief, just in case if you hate scrolling down on some boring plain words this might catch your eyes and a bit entertaining I guess? So please don't make this effort of mine go waste and scroll down to have a good view on them.

REVIEW
=========================================================================

1. SEKKISEI White Liquid Wash (140ml, RM131.40)

Formulated with Taurine which makes an efficient and delicate cleansing agents that leaves skin clean and well hydrated, together with Rubus Suavissmus Extract which enhances skin dullness and soothes UV damage. The consistency is super runny and liquidy, yet it forms a fine foam that cleanses pores thoroughly. I personally love its subtle and baby products-like scent. Reminds me of Johnson Baby Powder for some reason lol! It doesn't strip away the moisture, so as much as retaining it. Their packaging are also one of the most classiest one I've ever seen, truly fell for their glass-like blue bottle with a white kanji writting "雪肌精" and it's romanization "SEKKISEI" on each of them which carry the meaning of "Bright & Translucent" in Japanese.

2. SEKKISEI Lotion (200ml, RM180.20 | 360ml, RM275.60)

SEKKISEI Lotion can either be used as a mask or toner. If you're using it as a toner, just pour an adequate amount on cotton pad and pat all over face avoiding eye area. Frankly I love to use it as a mask because it gives a 10x better hydration. This is one of the SEKKISEI bestseller and that awards it as a Star Product! The star ingredients are extracts of Chinese Pearl Barley, Melothria Heterophylla, Angelica and Licorice as well as Germ Oil and Vitamin E acetate. This lotion balance out skin's moisture level, prevent dullness and soothes away redness and skin discomfort.

KOS‎É Beauty Tips : Pour the lotion in the cap to the fullest level, and drop the tablet into it. Let it absorb the lotion and puffs up and place it on the face between 5-10 minutes for a 10x quick hydration boost.

Extra Note : It carries alcohol content, not sure about you guys but tbh I don't fancy much its alcoholic scent when I use it on my skin, tho I love the result so much. Even alcohol has a pros and cons, alcohol is said to be drying out and damaging the skin cells (based on their concentration) albeit it's an actually a reliable agent to kill acne and bacteria forming in your skin. I did not find that this stripping away my skin moisture although I'm a dry skin typed, in fact it's very moisturizing and made my skin look brighter especially when I use it as a mask (boggles my mind on how did they do that while containing alcohol). Looking at its status as a Star Product and its stellar performance, I will overlook its alcohol content and carry on. After all this is not the only product I've used that contains alcohol, we've plenty of them including in some of our makeups and etc. Up to your preferences but I'm ok with it as long as it doesn't treat my skin harsh, so yeah I'll just love it for what it did on my skin!

3. SEKKISEI Emulsion (140ml, RM191.80)

This moisturizer delves quickly and deep into the skin preventing freckles, dark spots and dryness. Contains Inula Britanica Flower, Chinese Pearl Barley, Paeonia Albiflora Root, Melothria Heterophylla and Angelica to bless you with a more translucent complexion. Pump 1-2 drops on a cotton pad and sweep over skin. Initially, I used it in a wrong way (lol shame on me), I pumped it onto my palm and tapped all over my face because the emulsion looks milky in texture and I thought that it's not suitable to be applied using cotton pad but this is not the accurate way that SEKKISEI designed for this emulsion. You need to apply it on your skin using a cotton pad, which gives far better absorption to the skin.

Extra Note : Contains alcohol as well however the scent is a little bit subtle and mild compared to SEKKISEI Lotion. It moisturizes my skin very well. Hence, though it contains alcohol it's not really a pull back for me and again I'll leave it up to your preferences whether to go for it or not but I'm ok with this, it does not dry out my skin, makes my complexion looks dewy and brighter and I love it for that.

4. SEKKISEI Clear Whitening Mask (80g, RM94.30)

One of the gentlest peel-off mask I ever tried, it removes dullness and dead skin cells, along with the blackheads! Surprisingly it even brightened up my skin at the same time! The ingredients are Chinese Quince extract that works by inhibits sebum production and control excessive oil, while a blend of oriental plant extracts deliver supreme whitening benefits. Specially formulated with Nano-sized black powder to allow the mask to spread effortlessly. I love scent and the feeling of its cooling sensation once applied on skin. I don't use it for my entire face though, only on my T-zone area where is the most stubborn area with more sebum secretion (saving the amount because this trial tube is really tiny so I need to at least make it worth for several applications). It's sticky but It'll become stretchy once it dries up and that's a time to peel it off and look at how much blackheads it can catch!

I've tried KOSÉ SEKKISEI before like 2 years back, and never restocked after they were all finished. More and more new and multitude skincare brands raining down our market and that eventually made me forget about KOSÉ with a pile of other brands to try in my hands. I'm glad KOSÉ sent me this trial kit. Bringing back the memories I had with them and the fact that they are one of my favorite Japanese skincare brands. It's been only two weeks, yet my complexion is even more brighter than before (I did't really notice it but my hairdresser told me so yeah) - Take note that it does not "whiten" but only "brighten" up complexion by diminishing dark spots & pigmentation and gives a translucency to your skin. Get your hands on this cute trial kit packed with 4 most loved SEKKISEI products, together with 3pcs of Bihadagoyomi Mask as a complimentary at KOSÉ counters with only RM99! Exclusively in 2 designs (Kimono Setsuko & City Chick Setsuko) to choose from.

If you ask me to pick between an "ikemen" (good-looking) boyfriend or this KOSÉ SEKKISEI Lotion, I'll choose KOSÉ SEKKISEI Lotion first harharhar! (wtf lol)!

Hey my kawaii peepers!

So the story goes like this. I was chosen as one of the finalists for the 3Bskin Brand Ambassador Search after entering this search with some other fellow bloggers. There are only 25 of us in total and because of that us, the finalists and the other official bloggers chosen for the review campaign were sent out with 3Bskin products in a full sized to try out. Thanks 3Bskin for the experience and opportunity given, it was such a golden one for the plain me!

Countless hearts thrown at this Water Splash Hydrating Jelly Mask! Because I'm a super dry skin holder this is like a godsent savior! Scroll down because I'll be showing you guys the details of this and the rest!

I think the packagings are quite simple yet they attracts. Simple and adorable in their own way!

1. PAMPER YOURSELF TONER (120ml, RM69.00)

I love the scent so much! (so like me rite haha), to describe it in detail would be tricky because I'm simply just sucks at shedding a light on things lol. But it's a pleasant one, not hurting my nose with a prickly smell like some other toners would and does not dry up my skin! Normally toner's made for people with an oily or combination skin but this is suitable for all types of skin because of its moisturizing effect. It's also helps in balancing the oil and pores minimizing. You oughta use this each time after facial cleansing, spray or dampen on a piece of cotton pad or wool and gently pat on face.

Contain no alcohol (that's explains why it doesn't prick your nose!) and rich in moisturizing properties such as Anthemis Nobilis Flower Extract, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, and Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract to repair the skin for the better skincare absorption on products that follows. I normally use this for my night skincare routine and after wake up in the morning the skin feel so fresh and good!

2. ONE DROP TRIPLE EFFECTS SERUM (10ml, RM79.00)

Seldom use serum in my skincare regime tbh, but this is somehow come in handy to replace my moisturizer in quick, plus the size is really travel-friendly. 1-2 drops on palm, rub both your hands together and pat all over the face and done. Comes in a ampoule styled glass bottle and it looks gel-ish in consistency once you drop the product onto your palm but it will turn into a watery form once you rub it with the other palm. This feel light on skin and it doesn't clog your pores. Almost scentless and it contains HA, Olive Oil, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice to stock the moisture in your skin, while providing an enough moisture your skin need, it also works by minimizing the pores and curbing acne.

3. WATER SPLASH JELLY MASK (50g, RM79.00)

Among all of the 3 products sent to me this is my fave! This Jelly Mask is reminiscent of Annie's Way Jelly Mask in the way it's packaged as well as the product itself, I'm also still using the mask sometimes. Anyhow this one is a little bit on the other way around as it yields a cooling minty kind of sensation and it also goes to the scent too. I really like how it feels on skin every time I slap it on. Besides, it's also very moisturizing, I normally will leave it on my face for the whole night. Otherwise you can also rinse it off after 20 minutes if you don't think it's going to be comfortable for you to leave it overnight, but personally I prefer to pack it on before going straight to the bed, leave it on the whole night and snug as a bug in a rug while sleeping. Immediately upon rinse off in the next morning my skin couldn't feel any better and fresher than this!

This is a water based jelly mask that contains Aloe Barbadensis, Chamomile Extract, Hyaluronic Acid, Lecithin, Natural Bearberry Leave extract and Tocopheryl Acetate to give a boost, repair and retain the water in your skin keeping it moist and well hydrated after using them.

Visit here if you want to know more about this brand. It's just hit our market since the early of Feb this year, formulated in France and manufactured in Malaysia. For more, you can also kindly refer to their page below.

Thank you so much guys for the support and thanks 3Bskin for having me as one of the media partners and for the opportunity given in 3Bskin Brand Ambassador Search. Don't forget to check them out later okay!

Talk to you guys again on my next post!

Hey everyone! *pukkyuu* >3<

Who doesn't love nature from the earth? Be it their ever refreshing scents and goodness, yes all of them! I always have a thing for flowers and herbs particularly for their engaging aromas! This time Mentholatum has pulled me into their new developed facial care series called BOTANICS!

Naming this new skin care series "BOTANICS" bear the awareness in people's minds about this brand being natural & plant-related! And exactly that's where they were first came from! Inspired by the goodness of nature and uses only the finest and the highest quality of flowers and herbs essences to deliver you the best experience ever produced by a nature. Those herbs and flowers were also carefully curated based on their merits to assure the exceptional quality and results. BOTANICS products were subdivided into 4 range of categories.

1. Tube Face Wash (100g RM14.90)

The basic form of facial cleansing product in the world of facial regime always come in a tube first. Definitely for users who prefer a handy tube with a simple squeeze. The diversity given into 4 types and each conquers a different skin concerns and problems.

  • Deep Cleansing Face Wash - contains ylang-ylang and tea tree extract as a main ingredients, as well as white tea and olive tea which helps balance oil, deep cleanses and purifies pores while refreshing your sense on smell with uplifting scent of lemongrass. This face wash also helps preventing blemishes and blackhead occurrence. [Suitable for oily and combination skin types]
  • Hydra Whitening Face Wash - removes impurities and excessive oil without stripping away skin moisture and keep the natural balance of water in skin. It's formulated with arbutin bearberry which brightens up and enhances skin fairness. On top of all their rosey scent truly captured my heart to every bits! [Suitable for all skin types]
  • Hydrating Face Wash - contains calendula and jasmine as a main ingredients, together with aloe vera extract and violet which yields moisturizing properties and it soothes & rejuvenates dry, irritated and sensitive skin while calming your senses with the scent of jasmine. [Suitable for dry and combination skin skin types]
  • Pore Refining Face Wash - contains a mind-relaxing scent of orange flower and deeply cleanses pores to remove all impurities, dirt and oil for a more clean and well refined pores. Formulated with rosemary and witch hazel as the main ingredients added with lentil and green tea which reliable in combating pores-related problems that causing acne. [Suitable for oily and combination skin types]

Last time when I heard "ylang-ylang" I was like huh wth is that and rofl (the name is pretty funny to me imho) until somebody told me what exactly it is so in case if you might never know what the heck ylang-ylang is, it's actually a "Canaga Odorota" in its binomial name or maybe known as "Cananga Tree" (or "Pokok kenangan" in Malay) and it has an ability to normalize sebum secretion when used on skin. Basically when a product uses ylang-ylang as one of the ingredients it means they only use their leaves, not the flower...or tree? (of course not haha!)

2. Pump Face Wash (150ml RM21.90)

Available in only 2 choices howbeit that doesn't mean it fails to serve people with different types of skin concerns. The fact that the product consistency appear runny in the form helps providing hydration to the skin while doing its job. Pump wash is certainly convenient to control the usage amount and more thrift-worthy because one pump is already enough for the entire face, so if you are probably a parsimonious kind of person like me who ain't gonna regularly spend money for face wash restocking in a short span, here. This is for you, period.

  • Deep Clean Face Wash - formulated with ylang-ylang and tea tree extract as the top ingredients for oil control and to tackle blemishes followed with aloe vera and cucumber which also aid in soothing and moisturizing while the main ingredients are doing the job. The relaxing scent of lemongrass always invigorates your mood. [Suitable for oily and combination skin types]
  • Moisturizing and Brightening Face Wash - contains vitamin c derived from rosehip oil and pearl extract which helps brighten up and grant the skin luminosity. Such a foam with a redolent of flower that is hard to resist indeed. [Suitable for all skin types]

3. Foam Face Wash (160ml RM25.90)

The bottle of foam face wash is even taller and bigger than the pump face wash. They also comes in two colors just like pump face wash. I like its bottle because it has an automatic lock, so whenever it's not in use you can just twist its head clockwise and fret not about the foam accidentally pumped out while bringing it in your bag or suitcase when you go travelling. The texture is all foamy and no lathering with water is ever needed to create the bubbles.

  • Oil & Blemish Control Foam Wash - main ingredients are ylang-ylang and tea tree extracts as well as wild pansy which work effectively against blemishes and it has a scent of lemongrass. [Suitable for oily and combination skin types]
  • Whitening Foam Wash - has a rich scent of rose and contains aloe extract & narcissus which simultaneously work as a moisturizing properties and brightens the skin. [Suitable for all skin types]

4. Sheet Mask (22ml/pouch RM6.90)

During the launching they were only sold at RM5.86 each *now regret I did't grab some during the event*

Infused with herbal essences as well as enriched with HA to fix and nourish the skin while you chilling with the mask on for 10-15 minutes. Comes in 5 variants and of course they were made into 5 with a reason, each helps giving a quick boost and treat a different skin concerns.

  • Aloe Vera Hydrating & Brightening Facial Mask - contains aloe vera and narcissus that revives tired & dull-looking skin by providing a hydration and soothe the skin. [Suitable for all skin types especially dry skin]
  • Pomegranate Anti-Oxidant & Hydrating Facial Mask - blended with pomegranate and other natural herbal extracts which protects the skin from radical damage that causes skin aging and moisturizes it. [Suitable for all skin types]
  • Rosemary Pore Refining Facial Mask - contains rosemary, witch hazel and vitamin B3 that helps diminish the appearance of enlarged pores for a more refined, soft and smooth skin texture while retaining moisture for firmer skin and protect it against environmental damage. [Suitable for all skin types especially oily and combination skin]
  • Rosehip Oil Brightening & Firming Facial Mask - formulated with vitamin B3 together with rosehip oil which is undeniably rich in vitamin C to help brightens and improve skin luminosity as well as protecting it against damaging environment. [Suitable for all skin types]
  • Lavender Soothing & Repairing Facial Mask - blended with levender and chamomile that calms and reawaken the skin, it helps soothe, repair and pamper the skin while protecting it against environmental damage as well. [Suitable for all skin types especially sensitive skin]

As one of the invited bloggers I was given a chance to make my own flower tea at the event. These are all the dried flowers and herbs for us to choose and mix to create our own flower tea. Don't mix up too much or else the taste will end up weird or too fragrant lol

Super interesting rite!! Somehow these look adorable too me haha

The mug given are super cute as well, I had mine with some dried roses, apple flowers, lavenders, jasmines, rosemaries and lime. I'm pretty sucks at mixing things to produce a good taste and aroma but fortunately mine turned out not that bad lar...smelled nice and the taste was quite invigorating! Loved it!

MY TAKE ON AND VERDICT ON THEM

Thanks BOTANICS for the generosity to let me try all of these!

I'm not being biased just because I love pink and roses so much (lol) but the pink range somehow gets me for their scents! I'm such a sucker for delicious and wonderful scents and everything that have a good smells will win me immediately. That's number one. The following is its big and squishy bubble foam made once we lather it up with water. Big and fine bubbles always helps loosing the dirt in pores effectively. I've been using this for the whole week in the morning (sometimes I opt it with the pump wash) and my skin felt bouncy, brighter and fresh ever. Who says affordable things aren't competent?

The rose scent is really a head over heels kyaaaa!! The product goes out runny once pumped out from the bottle but once you lather it up with water it will turns into a light foam and this cleanses pretty well! Compared to the tube one that I'm using this feels a lot more hydrating for some reason but of course I just love both! You really should try these fellas!

One of the best and fast selling kind of face wash in Japan is the foam type and I won't deny that it's cut time fast and easy to be used. My skin condition has always been dry and flaky hence I find that this Oil & Blemish Control Foam Wash is not really for me. I prefer not to use this in the morning where my skin has already dry as it is so I use this at night after returning home with a full face makeup. Whenever I wear makeup my skin will at least feels a bit oilier especially if I had it on my face all day long thus when I use this foam wash after wiping off my makeup it'll just rightly balancing my skin oil back to normal. If I use this in the morning or when I'm not wearing any makeup it will strip away all of the moisture from my skin! (nooo~~). Something to really compliment is its ever mind-relaxing lemongrass scent.

I'm not gonna lie but this mask is surprisingly good! I can quickly notice the changes after chilling with the mask on for 15 minutes! I never really had a problem with my pores but after using this I can definitely tell that my skin texture is a lot more smoother and the pores is well refined like seriously. The result reminds me of B.liv Absolute Matte Mask which is quite akin but products from B.liv are much pricier. Look at the photo below if you don't believe me!

It made my complexion looks matte, even so it moisturized my skin just good and omgggg how can I not heart this!
Will grab some more of them later for my weekend skin pampering session!

Pyon pyon minna!

Going to school aren't everyone's favorite thingy rite? I know haha me too when I was there before. Not going to criticize our Malaysian school life or what but lo, accept it that going to and being a high school student in Japan is rather cool, at least that's what I think. Be it their gakkou seifuku, kawaii bento box (of course the one that joshi always bring!), school bag and etc which pretty much makes their school life more fun and enthusiastic!

1. Japanese Leather High School Bag

(well of course the leather is not real lol)

2. Japanese Canvas High School Bag

This bag really resembles the one that Honoka from LL bring to school, that's why I bought it apart the straps are baby pink in color!

Regret of not buying these during my secondary school life otherwise I would had been looking very cool bringing this kinda bags to school everyday (I was very nerdy in my school life as far as I can remember lol!!) Now that I am already 21 years old I cannot rock these bags to school anymore, I've graduated from secondary school since 4 years ago but wait. Who says I cannot use them for street fashion look, or while going out? Tehepero!

Unbeknownst to me if in Japan people use these sort of bags only purposely to high school, but to me from the look of these bags I think they would just be acceptable to be used for any other appropriate occasions like going to college, university or even on daily basis as well (well if your heart is not too old for that, think I'm not lol)

Thing I hyped the most about these Japanese high school bags is they have a lot of disparate compartments and pockets inside which you would never come across in most of the school bags you can find in our country! There are a pockets for a tumbler, smartphone, ball pens and etc! Isn't this too cool for school? lol sounds like a familiar Korean cosmetic brand out of the blue! They might look a bit bulky to you, but I just can't stop loving the bulky bags because you can stuff a lot of things inside them (very helpful peculiarly to joshi because we always bring a lot of stuff, even to school and what not lol!) - and that's why Japanese girls also love to carry a bulky bag.

Front compartment :

Main compartment :

I've never seen a bag with a tumbler pocket attached inside so far. What's more it's sewn with a spongy and waterproof aluminium-like material that prevents the water from seeping into anywhere inside the bag. This means that if you bring a cold tumbler/drinking bottle it is totally safe and does not get your notes or any paper you bring wet, hurrah!

Let's take a look at the second high school bag I bought!

I take this as a free gift from the seller hehe, ありがとうございました!
Btw, do you know who is the character in that button? it's that guy from Kuroko no Basuke, Atsushi Murasakibara in chibi ver.

The tumbler pocket for this one is relatively different than the former one, in the way it's sewn and attached to the side of main compartment and I think I love this one better haha!

Both compartments of this bag are also identical to the leather one but this one doesn't have the pocket for a smartphone.

Also included with 2 extra keychain holders (for a keychain junkie who love to hang a tonnes of charms and keychains lel)

Their kakkoi-ness and kawaiism aren't excluded this guy, mite! even their zipper pulls are very cute to me!
These bags are from Sweet Candy brand, and is what the name carved on the zipper pull explains.

I've been eyeing on these high school bags for so long before really decided to buy them. I bought them from Michiyo Online Shoppu on Facebook, and obviously this shop sell a lot of any other interesting anime & Japanese merchandises too! Do take a look around on their page if you're also into these kinda things like me!

Bought them around a month ago, the leather one was RM75 and the canvas one was RM60 plus RM26 shipping fee. Actually I find that they're quite pricey (just for a school bag) but what to do rite to find these bags here is almost impossible so I had to buy from them (and it's a pre-order from Japan which took 2 weeks of anticipation) That explain much their prices and shipping fee as well.

Been thinking to use them as part of my cosplan too later, these will be great to be put on the characters with gakkou seifuku hehe...jaa ne! *ぐで~ ぐで~* - suddenly gudetama lol!

Talk to you guys again on my next post!
